挤出成型后的型坯紧接着进入冷却定型阶段。从模具口挤出的管坯温度很高,质地柔软,需要立即进行定型和冷却,以获得精确的尺寸和稳定的形状。通常采用真空定径冷却方式,管坯首先进入真空定径套,定径套内的负压会将管坯外壁紧紧吸附在定径套的内壁上,从而保证管材的外径尺寸精度。同时,定径套及后续的冷却水槽会通过喷淋或浸泡的方式对管坯进行充分冷却,使熔融状态的PE熔体迅速降温固化,形成坚硬的管材。冷却效果的好坏直接影响管材的尺寸稳定性和物理力学性能。

冷却后的管材已经具备了基本的形状和强度,随后进入牵引阶段。牵引机通过一组上下对压的牵引辊,以设定的速度均匀地将冷却定型后的管材从冷却水槽中牵引出来。牵引速度需要与挤出速度精确匹配,这不仅关系到管材的壁厚均匀性,也影响着生产效率。过快或过慢的牵引速度都可能导致管材出现壁厚偏差、拉伸取向不当等问题。

被牵引出的管材是连续的长条,需要根据客户要求或标准长度进行切割。在牵引机之后,通常会配备在线切割设备,如行星切割机或旋切机。当管材达到设定长度时,切割装置会快速、准确地将管材切断,切割过程中要保证切口平整、无毛刺,避免对管材端部造成损伤。

切割完成的单根PE管并非立即就能出厂,还需要经过严格的质量检测。质量检测人员会对管材的外观进行检查,查看是否有气泡、凹陷、划伤、色差等表面缺陷。同时,会对管材的关键尺寸进行测量,如外径、壁厚、长度等,确保符合相关标准要求。此外,还会按照规定的抽样频率,对管材的物理力学性能进行检测,例如拉伸强度、断裂伸长率、冲击强度、静液压强度等,以验证管材是否达到设计和使用要求。只有通过所有质量检测的PE管,才能被判定为合格产品,进行后续的打包、存储和发货。
