当加热板温度达到要求后,将处理好的管材、管件分别套在加热模头上(若是对接焊,则是将管材两端同时与加热板接触),施加适当的压力,使管端与加热板紧密接触,进行加热。加热时间同样重要,需根据管材的壁厚来确定,壁厚越大,加热时间越长,以保证整个壁厚都能均匀受热熔融。加热过程中,要观察管端熔融情况,当出现均匀的熔融翻边时,说明加热基本到位。此时,应迅速、平稳地移开加热板,然后在规定的时间内将两个熔融的端面迅速、准确地对接在一起,并施加一定的对接压力,使熔融部分充分结合并形成均匀的翻边,保压冷却。

在对接和冷却阶段,同样需要注意操作规范。对接时应避免管材、管件发生轴向扭曲或偏移,确保同心度。保压冷却期间,绝对禁止对接口施加外力或进行移动,应让其自然冷却至常温,待接口完全固化后,方可进行下一步操作。冷却时间也与管材壁厚相关,壁厚越大,冷却时间越长。

除了严格控制温度,操作人员的技能水平、设备的精度以及环境温度等因素也会对热熔连接质量产生影响。因此,操作人员需经过专业培训,熟悉设备性能和操作规程。在整个热熔过程中,应仔细观察,确保每一个环节都符合要求。
